Director of Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship
Dr. Trowbridge is Division Director of General Internal Medicine at Maine Medical Center. He received his AB from Colgate University and his MD from Georgetown University School of Medicine. After finishing his residency in Internal Medicine at Stanford University Hospital, he completed a fellowship in Hospital Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco. He is primarily a clinician-educator and serves as the director of the nine-site Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship of the Tufts University School of Medicine Maine Track Program and is site director for the Internal Medicine Clerkship.
His specific interest is in the development of clinical reasoning abilities and the avoidance of diagnostic error. He has additional interest in teaching clinical reasoning and serves as Co-Course Director for second-year course Introduction to Clinical Reasoning at Tufts and an editor of the book, “Teaching Clinical Reasoning”, from the American College of Physicians.
