Dr. Marybeth Ford attended the University of Massachusetts/Amherst and the State University of New York (SUNY) Stony Brook School of Medicine. She completed a residency in Ophthalmology at the Tufts/New England Eye Center and a fellowship in Oculoplastics at the Royal Victoria Hospital / McGill University in Montreal.  She has practiced Ophthalmology in midcoast Maine for over 30 years.

She is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Tufts University School of Medicine (TUSM) and a member of the Faculty/ Maine Medical Center (MMC) Department of Medical Education. She completed the META Scholar Program/MITE Academy at MMC in 2012-2014 and the Clinical Teaching Program at the Stanford University Faculty Development Center (SFDC) in 2016. She currently is the Director of the Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship (LIC) for the TUSM/MMC Maine Track Program.
