Dr. Parker is the director of both the Division of Nephrology and Transplantation and the Nephrology Fellowship Program at Maine Medical Center. In the latter role, he has devised and published fellowship training level Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCE). He is also the chair of the Workforce Committee of the American Society of Nephrology. He has attained expertise in healthcare workforce assessment and the development of pipeline recruitment programs for medical students and residents. His clinical focus is on management of resistant hypertension and renovascular disease and he has research interests in early biomarkers of chronic kidney disease. He is an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at the Tufts University School of Medicine.
