The mission of the Department of Medical Education is to provide leadership, expertise, and guidance as the centralized, organizational foundation of the medical education programs within MaineHealth & throughout the state of Maine.

Health care providers often have a strong desire to teach the next generation of learners and pass along their wisdom, as a core part of our professional identity. The “power of the naïve question” from a learner drives and energizes us to want to help learners succeed and even grow ourselves. We need all types of faculty for our expanding educational programs throughout the state of Maine, so many thanks for your help!
