Finding Balance through Yoga, Mindfulness and Resilience

Features of the Program:

Yoga practice provides a wealth of health benefits as well as a perfect practical application of flow, mindfulness and resilience. The Department of Medical Education will be hosting a Wellness in Teaching pilot study.

The program consists of:

  • Six workshops focused on teaching the concepts of Flow, Mindfulness and Resilience. Work shops will take place Tuesday evenings Sept 5, 2017- Oct 10, 2017 from 5:30p-7:30p, a dinner will be provided from a menu focused on wellness and healthy eating.
  • Participants are asked to attend a minimum of two yoga classes per week at either Portland Power Yoga (PPY) in Portland or Riverbend Yoga Studio in Yarmouth at the attendees discretion and what works best with their own personal schedule. click here for the PPY current schedule or here for the Riverbend current schedule, both are subject to change slightly
  •  All yoga mats and towels will be provided. Please note you are welcome to attend any type of yoga practice provided at either location. At Portland Power Yoga the majority of their classes are heated.
